Meeting Point BenchmarksEach month you should attend approximately 3 meetings to keep on track to get all your meeting points. There is a meeting benchmarks calendar attached to the embedded points document. In extreme cases, you will be asked to step down from Student Council if you fall too far behind in your meeting points. Each meeting is worth 5 points. Service points are given based on the commitment involved, both time and workload.

What happens if I don't meet all my points? Our points system is a numerical way to gauge your involvement in Student Council. They do not affect our opinion of you, but do influence your eligibility to be involved in Student Council next year. If you get at least 125 meeting points and 250 service points, you are welcome to come back next year by simply filling out an application. If you have between 100-120 meeting points or between 200-245 service points, you will be asked to go through the entire application and interview process again to be on council next year. If you have below 100 meeting points or below 200 service points, you will be asked to step down from council for at least a full year before returning through the application and interview process.
|
Are there other ways to earn meeting points?Yes. See an advisor for ongoing point opportunities. They usually involve cleaning out our Student Council closet or serving with the Swarm club, which is built to support smaller sports (aka not football).
